#songoftheday / REVIEW: DELTA DEEP: “TAKE ME HOME FOR CHRISTMAS”

Delta Deep was originally started as an “extreme” blues project by Def Leppard’s Phil Collen in 2012.  Today the band’s sound is more like one part rock, one part soul and two parts blues.  In addition to Collen, the band features Stone Temple Pilots’ bassist Robert DeLeo, The Crusaders’ drummer Forrest Robinson and Michael Buble/Luther Vandross background vocalist/theatrical performer Debbi Blackwell-Cook.  Today’s #songoftheday is an original Christmas song written and performed by the group and it’s as charming and sexy as you’d expect an original blues Christmas song to be.  Perfect for listening to in front of the fireplace with your better half.  Or to compliment your holiday playlist.  After all, don’t your guests deserve to hear some new Christmas music this year?
