I’ve never been a big fan of Major Lazer. I’ve always respected him and I could tell that he was talented. He just wasn’t my cup of tea. But his new single with DJ Snake and MØ is fantastic! Which is mostly because of MØ, whose voice is always immediately likable and she really pulls you deep into the song here, burying your head somewhere between the lovely melody and its monstrous beats, which feel a lot like pillows and you just want to lie there until the song is over. It could have been nine minutes long and you’d still keep your head in it, it’s that enchanting. Call it magic pop. And expect it to be a big hit, if it gets the right promotion. At the very least, it should be a major Youtube sensation. I dare you to listen to this and not immediately listen to it a second time.
