RED HOT RAP: Classified – “No Pressure” (feat. Snoop Dogg)

“It’s the weekend on the west coast,” sings Classified on his red hot new single “No Pressure.” He also sings, “It’s the weekend on the east coast,” wisely not choosing one over the other.  But this is actually  a rap song.  You see, the dude can rap and also sing his own hooks, which isn’t something you come across every day in the rap world, so it’s refreshing when you do.  The fact that “No Pressure” is a party song is more common, but that really doesn’t matter because Classified is super talented and it’s so damn fun.  Bouncy, danceable fun!  With its porno and drug references, it’s probably not going to get on the radio — unless they edit the hell out of it — and that’s a shame because this is exactly what the mainstream listener needs right now, a song that’s happy but not sappy, catchy but not plastic.  Plus, it’s a song that shows hip-hop can be positive.  Oh well, even if it’s not on the radio this is a song that’s sure to spread like wildfire because you listen to it and immediately want to tell someone about it because it’s so good.   Plus, it’s got Snoop Dogg!  What more could you want?
