The fans have tirelessly asked for it and now it’s finally happening, the legendary heavy metal band TNT are reuniting with original lead vocalist Tony Harnell.
During recent years, TNT has released several albums without Harnell, his replacement vocalist being Tony Mills. While that material was still better than your average metal, it just didn’t have the magic that happens when Tony Harnell’s vocals mesh with Ronni Le Tekro’s guitars. More than that, it’s their co-writing of TNT’s songs that makes them so special.
Tony Harnell just posted the folowing on Facebook:
TNT announces that Tony Harnell and Ronni Le Tekrø will start writing new material together for the first time in over 10 years and that the Norwegian/American band plans to enter the studio to start recording new music this summer. The new line up will be announced soon. We’re happy to be working together creatively again and hope our fans are are as excited as we are. We’re already booking shows in the U.S. and across the world in 2017 and also hope to play in as many countries as possible over the next couple of years. Hopefully many countries that we haven’t been to in a long time or perhaps ever! Stay tuned for more news soon!
Well, color me excited! TNT have been one of my favorite metal bands since the early ’90’s and I’m very much looking forward to hearing new material from them. Stay tuned for more details as they develop.
And if anyone is wondering, my favorite TNT albums are Firefly and Realized Fantasy.
